Subaru, Travelbag, Element and Fish Hairdressing wins spearhead expansion
Cheshire-based 438 Marketing has opened new London offices following a series of Account wins.
The brand communications agency, headquartered in Knutsford, has added strength in depth to its strategic and digital services teams with a raft of high-profile appointments.
The new team, based at premises in the St Paul’s area of London, include Andy Brennan, formerly of bwin.party, who will head-up a dedicated digital division. Brennan’s team will comprise some of the talent behind groundbreaking websites such as theAA.com; lastminute.com and PartyPoker.com – the world’s largest online gaming site.
“Our service offering is simple – we make websites better – and we do so in perfect harmony with the ambitions of the brand” said Brennan.
Also based at the London agency will be additional strategic support from Ian Sykes. With a background in sports publishing, Sykes is tasked with growing the Agency’s profile in Strategic Partnership Marketing particularly in the areas of sport, music, art and culture.
This arrangement has already yielded the partnership between ZEO and England Netball – the most valuable female sports sponsorship deal to date in the UK.
These appointments follow a successful 12 months of business development for 438.
Since summer 2013 the agency has added Subaru UK’s dealer marketing account and the Global B2B business of Element Materials Testing to the roster.
In addition to a portfolio of work for incumbent clients such as Henkel, TNT Express, VIP e-cigarettes and Jeep, TV campaigns have been delivered for new clients Travelbag and Fish Hairdressing.
438 co-founder Andy Whitmore said: “2013 and ‘14 have been really strong for us; we’re seeing a growing appetite from clients for the enthusiastic and proactive service that an agile smaller agency can deliver. I’m delighted to grow our footprint and add greater strength to our integrated client offering”.
