At 438 Marketing our recent work with Freebets took us to Wealdstone Football Club, where we met a rather special man – The Wealdstone Raider.
The brief from the client was simple – one million views in four weeks. As well as increasing brand awareness, the longer term objectives with FreeBets were to drive traffic to their homepage and of course, generate business.
The tongue-in-cheek video delivered 1.2m views in just over nine hours, gaining huge traction on social media and increasing traffic to Freebets.co.uk by a staggering 70% in the opening weekend of the campaign.
The continuation of the campaign has seen a number of other films released, all of them receiving great coverage on social media with total viewing figures reaching nearly four million in the four weeks.
