I might be a bit late to jump on the bandwagon, but yesterday I got a Pinterest account.
By last night, I had eleven ‘boards’ and by lunch time today I had refreshed my homepage so much, I wasn’t seeing any new images to re-pin anymore. It’s safe to say I’m addicted.
It’s everything I’m looking for from social media. No tragic statuses about ex-boyfriends/new girlfriends, no Farmville notifications and no invitations to high school reunions – just lots and lots and lots of pictures of thing that I like, things I’d like to make, things I’d like to do, places I’d like to go. It’s my imagination…online. And organised.
So, gone are my days of saving great ideas to a folder on my laptop that might never be discovered again, now I’ve got it online – with all the accessibility of Facebook but less of a dirty feeling.
I’ve already decided I want to be a giver (not just a taker) so I’ve set about finding my own images to upload with a hope that someone else thinks they’re worthy of a re-pin! Follow me at http://pinterest.com/helenkahods/ for sneaky peek. (It’s a work in progress, so keep in touch)
